  1. How many people does your wedding venue accommodate?
    Creekside Conference and Event Center can accommodate up to 350 guests. They have had weddings as small as two people and events as large as 350. The 350 is comfortable and allows for everyone sitting down and a dance floor. An average size wedding is usually around 175 guests.
  2. Can I hold my wedding ceremony as well as the reception at the venue?
    Creekside can do both the wedding ceremony as well as the reception. They have a beautiful outdoor space that is just outside the venue that has wonderful views called the rotary amphitheater that can be rented for an additional fee. The space is owned by the city therefore they need to compensate Gahanna for the use of the space.
  3. What is your rental fee?
    For a typical wedding that is around 175 guests the rental fee is around ten to twelve thousand dollars. There are different prices for different times of the day and week. Saturday is the most expensive. The minimum for a Friday evening is eight thousand dollars. The prices quoted are typical minimums regardless of the size of the guest list. It is difficult to give an exact answer on pricing because everything can be customized for the bride and grooms needs. One bride might want no alcohol and another might want top shelf. So each wedding is priced individually. The prices quoted are good guidelines.
  4. How much is the deposit and when is it due?
    The deposit is $1500.00 regardless of the size of the contract. The deposit is due when the contract is signed and holds the date for the wedding party. No other fees are due until 30 days before the wedding. 30 days before the wedding half of the estimated total of the event are due and then 7 days before the event the remainder will be due.
  5. What is your cancellation policy?
    If you have to cancel the event then you lose the deposit. Creekside will try and work with the bride and groom if they have to cancel. The greater notice that is given the better opportunity Creekside has to re-rent the space. They will also try to be flexible for brides that need to move the wedding date. According to the agreement if you change or cancel the wedding date you can lose the deposit.
  6. How long will I have to use the event space I've reserved?
    The normal time that a typical contract allows for is 6 hours. That is from the time the guests start arriving until they leave. The bride and groom are welcome to come hours and hours before then if they desire. Some weddings are multi-cultural events and they sometimes call for the ceremony to last several days. So some events might start on a Friday and last until Sunday and Creekside is capable of accommodating this kind of event as well.
  7. Is the food catered in or is it done in house?
    All the food is done in house and they consider themselves a restaurant and not a banquet center. In fact they own several on site restaurants and can customize the menu to fit just about anyone's needs. They offer both buffet styles as well as plated depending on what the wedding party prefers. They only charge three dollars extra for plated meals per person. There are certain circumstances for religious beliefs that they will allow some outside catering if there is a dish that they cannot prepare, this is very rare but in some cases they will make accommodations. This is primarily for Indian weddings and kosher events. There is an outside catering fee in these circumstances. Desserts can be brought in such as the wedding cake. They also allow other desserts such as cup cakes, cookies and pies.
  8. Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided?
    Creekside Conference and Event Center includes all the white linens, all the dish ware, all the silverware and all the glassware at no additional cost. The wedding party can choose to upgrade any item they want for an additional fee if they so desire. There are thousands of linen options to choose from.
  9. Can I bring in my own alcoholic beverages?
    You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the facility.
  10. Are you licensed to provide alcohol service? If so, is alcohol priced per person or by consumption?
    Creekside is licensed and insured to provide alcohol. Pricing for alcohol can be done anyway the wedding party wants. Some want a cash bar other want to provide unlimited beverages so the pricing has to be customized base on the needs of each wedding party. They are very flexible.
  11. What is your weather contingency plan for outdoor spaces?
    They do have weather contingency plans. In fact they always have a room ready to go even on the sunniest days.
  12. Does your facility have a bridal room and groom room to allow the wedding parties to prepare themselves?
    Creekside has both a bridal suite and a groom suite for the wedding party's to get ready in. Everything is on the third floor of the building including the bride and groom suites.
  13. Can I move things around and decorate to suit my purposes or does everything need to remain as is?
    The staff at Creekside does complete decorations at no additional charge in most cases as an added service to make the day go smoother for the wedding party. Creekside removes all the promotional material as well as other items so that each bride can make the space their own. They allow wedding party to hang pictures and other personal items throughout the space and command strips are recommended. Creekside welcomes people to decorate the entire space.
  14. Do you have decoration guidelines that must be followed?
    They do allow open flames but they do not allow holes in the walls. Glitter and confetti are also not allowed.
  15. Do you have restrictions on what kind of music I can play or a time in which the music must end?
    There are no music restrictions. Every single room is equipped with a sound system that the band or DJ can hook into. Each room can have the same music or they can have different music depending on the needs of the wedding party.
  16. Does your venue provide on-site parking?
    Creekside Conference and Event Center has its own underground parking that is completely covered. Parking is free at all times, the guest can leave the car at the facility overnight if they need to. There are over 600 spaces available.
  17. Is the site handicap accessible?
    The entire facility is handicap accessible.
  18. Does your venue have liability insurance in the event that someone is injured during the event?
    Creekside Conference and Event Center does have liability insurance.
  19. Do you have signage or other aids to direct guests to my event?
    They do provide signage in the parking garage directing traffic to elevator B. This elevator provides direct access to the wedding area on the third floor. Additional signage can be provided at the request of the wedding party.
  20. Do you have a recycling policy?
    They do have recycling on site and they do all the cleanup and teardown.
