- How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I started shooting weddings in 2014, but had been using my camera for several years prior to that! - How many weddings have you shot?
Currently (at the beginning of 2017) I've photographed close to 60 weddings. It's so fun to photograph so many and to serve so many couples! - How would you describe your photography style?
My editing style is light, classic, and clean. I love providing images that won't go out of style in twenty years from now! - How would you describe your working style?
When a couple is in front of my camera, my number one goal is for them to feel comfortable. I give my couples a lot of encouragement and direction while posing to make them feel and look as natural as possible! I am constantly chatting and communicating with them when they're in front of the camera. I completely understand that being in front of a fancy camera isn't a normal thing to do, so I do my very best to make it as easy and enjoyable for you as possible! I truly believe that giving my couples a lot of direction actually results in the most natural looking photos, and doesn't make them look stiff at all. I want them to feel and look their best, as well as feel served throughout their whole wedding experience with me. I really value my couples past clients, and I love forming friendships with them! - How far in advance do I need to book my wedding photographer?
If you want to book your dream photographer, I would recommend booking them up to a year and a half out! Two years is probably the max I would book one. If you have a specific photographer in mind, asking them what dates they have available is great as well, especially if you're booking them in a shorter time frame (I even did this for my own wedding). - What sets your work apart from that of other photographers?
I provide my couples an experience with their wedding photographer past taking pretty pictures (even though that is still VERY important!). I want them to feel cared for and served throughout the whole processes, so I take extensive measures to ensure they feel this way at every point (everything from quick email response to naturally posing them). Additionally, I want to be a resource for them as someone they can turn to for any wedding related advice they might need! As I've mentioned above, I also love giving a lot of direction during posing that's very intentional, so every couple I photograph walks away feeling incredible about themselves and very encouraged. - Do you ever bring more then one photographer to the event?
Yes! I typically always work with a second shooter (it's included in all my collections). There are so many benefits to having one, which is why I always bring one along! My favorite reasons for having one is being able to capture the guys getting ready and having two different angles of the same moments throughout the day. - Do you have a portfolio I can review? Are all of your images yours and present work?
Yes, of course! I have wedding and engagement galleries on my website, www.stephaniebrann.com, as well as full wedding days and engagement sessions on my blog, www.stephaniebrann.com/blog. Every image you see on my website is taken by myself! - What type of equipment do you use?
I use Nikon cameras and lenses. I bring off camera flash to beautifully capture dark receptions! Although I consider myself a natural light photographer, I am still fully prepared for any situation given to me. - Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?
I typically don't work from a shot list, because it tends to distract from genuine moments during a wedding day. However, the one exception is for family formals and any other group photos! I always ask for a shot list for this part of the day, to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently! - What type of album designs do you offer? Do you provide any assistance in creating an album?
I provide beautiful genuine Italian leather albums. They have thick, lay flat pages and are designed to last you for years. I absolutely love them and can't wait to get one for my own wedding! After you receive your full gallery, I will put together some album spreads to review. After we make any changes you would like, I will order the album for you! If you set up a consultation with me, you'll have the opportunity to see my albums in person. - What is the time frame I will receive my photos after ordering?
I guarantee you'll receive your full wedding gallery within 4 weeks after your wedding. For engagement sessions, it's 3 weeks! - Do you provide a written contract?
Yes, of course! Everything can be signed online as well, making the process seamless!
