  1. How many people does your wedding venue accommodate?
    Sarah, the wedding coordinator at The Bluestone, indicated that the venue will hold 300 people for the wedding and reception. They can go as small as 50 people for a smaller event. The Bluestone's average wedding is around 150 people.
  2. Can I hold my wedding ceremony as well as the reception at the venue?
    95 percent of the weddings events they have host both the wedding and the reception at the Bluestone.
  3. What is your rental fee?
    They have a facility minimum that includes food, drink, table linens, chairs, tables all the services that they need. The Saturday minimum is $15,000 and The Bluestones Friday minimum is $12,000 and Sunday is $10,000. Some bridal parties does ask for services above and beyond depending on the type of food or alcohol that is served as well as the number of meals that are served. Regardless of the size of the wedding guest list this is the minimum that they rent the facility for. They take care of all the food and beverages on site the only food that can be brought in is the wedding cake.
  4. How much is the deposit and when is it due?
    25% deposit books the date. The deposit is non-refundable but they do provide some flexibility if they have to move the date,
  5. What is your cancellation policy?
    In the event they are able to re-book the facility they will in some circumstances refund the deposit. The longer the notice the better chance they have of working something out.
  6. How long will I have to use the event space I've reserved?
    The wedding party has the entire facility for the whole day. The Bluestone never books more than one event per day. The wedding party can come in when they want and they can serve alcohol till 2:00 in the morning, party all day. If, for example, there is an event on Friday and the wedding party is unable to remove all of their items from the party, The Bluestone will pack it all up for them and make it available for pick up the next morning. They do ask that they take their gifts that night but otherwise they are there to help. This is not something most brides think about when choosing a wedding venue but it is one of those services that are truly appreciated at the end of a long emotional fun day. Most brides are thrilled to know they have a cushion if they need it at the end of the day.
  7. Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided?
    Tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware, glassware are all taken care of by The Bluestone.
  8. Can I bring in my own alcoholic beverages?
    You cannot bring outside alcoholic beverages into The Bluestone, all of that is provided.
  9. Are you licensed to provide alcohol service? If so, is alcohol priced per person or by consumption?
    The Bluestone is licensed to serve alcohol; pricing is determined by the package that each bridal party chooses.
  10. What is your weather contingency plan for outdoor spaces?
    The Bluestone does have an outdoor space available. During inclement weather the staff will simply move the space indoors when needed. The facility has more than enough space inside that this is rarely an issue.
  11. Can I move things around and decorate to suit my purposes or does everything need to remain as is?
    The Bluestone takes care of a lot of the set up so decorating that is needed for the bridal party. They do not like nailing into the walls, however command strips are fine and you can string lights. It really depends on what the bride is looking for. The staff at the Bluestone is very hands on and will help with setting up anyway they can. They are very flexible and will give them several days to set up if The Bluestone does not have any other events prior to theirs.
  12. Do you have restrictions on what kind of music I can play or a time in which the music must end?
    There are no restrictions on the type of music that can be played. The Bluestone is also a concert venue so the area is pre-wired for outstanding sound and audio and lighting. Many of the DJ'S just plug into their system and away they go.
  13. Does your venue provide on-site parking?
    They have a ton of free parking in the area and it is all in walking distance which is really nice for a downtown venue. They have up to 800 spaces.
  14. Is the site handicap accessible?
    They are handicap accessible including elevators and ramps.
  15. Does your venue have liability insurance in the event that someone is injured during the event?
    Yes, The Bluestone is fully insured.
  16. Do you have signage or other aids to direct guests to my event?
    They put additional signage out front directing people to the venue. They can help with personalized signage as well.
  17. Do you have a recycling policy?
    They recycle cardboard but are looking into other recycling options.
