The Old Blue Rooster has three different event spaces available.  There is The Shelter House, The Lodge and The Barn. These beautiful venues are located in Lithopolis, just Southeast of Columbus.

  1. How many people does your wedding venue accommodate?
    -Indoor venue in Lithopolis holds 200, outdoor venue in Groveport holds 250.
  2. Can I hold my wedding ceremony as well as the reception at the venue?
    -Yes, ceremony and reception can be done at the same place!
  3. What is your rental fee?
    -Packages range anywhere from $2800-$5600. We can also go an "A La Carte" route if a client would rather not have a package bundle.
  4. How much is the deposit?
    -Just 10% of whatever package the want to do.
  5. How much is the deposit and when is it due?
    -Deposit is 10% of the package they are wanting to do. It's required to reserve the date.
  6. What is your cancellation policy?
    -As long as you cancel within 180 days, full refund is given. Minus any credit card fees if deposit was paid with a card.
  7. How long will I have to use the event space I've reserved?
    -Rentals are all day. Typically 10am until midnight.
  8. Is the food catered in or is it done in house?
    -Choose whatever caterer you'd like!
  9. Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided?
    -We provide tables and chairs. We provide linens for an additional fee. No silverware or glassware. (Glassware is provided at the barn when we serve the alcohol)
  10. Can I bring in my own alcoholic beverages?
    -Our indoor barn location holds a liquor license so alcohol must be purchased from us. Our outdoor shelter house has no license.
  11. Are you licensed to provide alcohol service? If so, is alcohol priced per person or by consumption?
    -Alcohol is priced per consumption. No bar minimum.
  12. What is your weather contingency plan for outdoor spaces?
    -A lot of our brides plan for indoors just incase
  13. Does your facility have a bridal room and groom room to allow the wedding parties to prepare themselves?
    -Yes, our suites. Two rooms, each room has a king bed, TV, bathroom, shower, and the bridal room has a vanity area for the ladies to get ready. Plus you can stay the night!
  14. Can I move things around and decorate to suit my purposes or does everything need to remain as is?
    -Yes, you can move things around. Just check with a staff member beforehand!
  15. Do you have decoration guidelines that must be followed?
    -Nothing can damage any property or leave any residue behind. Command hooks work great!
  16. Do you have restrictions on what kind of music I can play or a time in which the music must end?
    -No restrictions, music can't be played later than midnight.
  17. Does your venue provide on-site parking?
    -Yes, we have plenty of parking!
  18. Does your wedding venue provide any on premise security during the event?
    -We do not, but can be available if requested.
  19. Are their nearby hotels that your venue recommends?
    -Best Western in Canal Winchester is the closest hotel.
  20. Is the site handicap accessible?
    -Yes!
  21. Does your venue have liability insurance in the event that someone is injured during the event?
    -Yes
  22. Do you have signage or other aids to direct guests to my event?
    -Yes
  23. Do you have a recycling policy?
    -No strict policies but we do like to Recycle and collect pop tabs!
  24. Tell me a unique aspect of your venue that I may not find anywhere else?
    -We are in the county but literally 5 minutes from route 33, so very convenient for family members and anyone coming from out of town. You get the country charm without driving too far!
  25. What else would you like to say about your venue that I have not asked?
    -We are very flexible in how we can accommodate our guests. We love to have your pets join your ceremony, we even have a couple horses joining a ceremony this year! We feel we can meet anyone's budget and we love celebrating every weekend with our brides!
