  1. How many people does your wedding venue accommodate?

    The Vault can accommodate up to 300 guests seated with a small dance floor. They have also had weddings with as few as 60 people and that still looks great. The facility can hold up to 800 standing but this is usually for events other then weddings such as college formals. The average size wedding is around 200 guests!

  2. Can I hold my wedding ceremony as well as the reception at the venue?
    The Vault does can host the wedding ceremony as well as the wedding reception. There are two different style wedding ceremony layouts that The Vault can lay the venue out in. There is California style which is the table set up and the guests sit at the table for the ceremony and reception. Theatre style is when they set the venue up like a theatre and then when the ceremony is over they bring out the tables.
  3. What is your rental fee?
    The vault charges $2600 to rent the space on a Saturday along with a $4500 bar minimum plus tax and gratuity. A normal total is around 8 thousand dollars. The pricing can fluctuate depending on the beverage package that is chosen. The well package is $25 per person and is there most popular package, which provides unlimited beverages for all your guests. They guests do not have to pick their final beverage package until two weeks prior to the wedding. Friday weddings are priced around $6000 for all the same services as a Saturday wedding, but the demand is lower so you get a more aggressive price. Sunday is the same as Friday from a pricing standpoint.
  4. How much is the deposit and when is it due?
    The deposit is $1000 due at contract signing. The next payment is $2500 and that is about half way between the contract signing and the actual event. The balance is due two weeks prior to the wedding when final decisions are made regarding the wedding. Friday and Sunday deposits are around $800.
  5. What is your cancellation policy?
    The deposit as well as any payments made prior to the two weeks are non-refundable. They will move a date at no charge.
  6. How long will I have to use the event space I've reserved?
    The Vault gives unlimited set up hours to the bridal party. If the wedding is on Friday the wedding party can come in all week and set up for free. If the wedding is on Saturday the bridal party can come in all week assuming there is not wedding on Friday. They can come in as early as they want if there is an event on Friday. The wedding party needs to take their personal items they brought in with them at the end of the night or they can be stored for a period of time in one of the rooms The Vault makes available to the wedding party. They do not have a firm time limit on when the wedding party has to have their stuff out. They can stay as late as they want, liquor can only be served till 2 a.m. The wedding party can extend the party as long into the night as they would like as long as they pay the hourly rate and they give at least a half hour notice of their intention to stay longer. The contract calls for a 5 hour time block for when guests arrive and depart they can set the start time for whatever they want. It is $300 for an extra hour.
  7. Is the food catered in or is it done in house?
    They do not provide any food service at The Vault. All food must be catered in by the caterer of the bride and grooms choice. Some events order in pizza others bring in Cameron Mitchell to cater their event it is entirely up to them. They do have caterers that they suggest and their top caterer is Boardwalk catering.
  8. Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided?
    The Vault provides the tables and chairs and all other items such as plates and silverware and glassware are provided by the caterer.
  9. Can I bring in my own alcoholic beverages?
    Guests are not allowed to bring alcohol into The Vault.
  10. Are you licensed to provide alcohol service? If so, is alcohol priced per person or by consumption?
    The Vault is licensed to sell alcohol. They offer a variety of packages and they are all customizable based on the number of guests and the quality of liquor that the wedding party wants to serve.
  11. What is your weather contingency plan for outdoor spaces?
    There is not any out door space that the guests have access to. There is a small space on a adjoining building that the wedding party has access to for wedding pictures. They do have a relationship with the bar next to the facility called the Greenside Cafe. The Greenside Cafe holds the very first liquor license in Ohio. They will give the bridal party a private after party where they will close down the tavern and open it up just for them and they do that for free. The guests just pay the bar tab. Most every bride and groom take advantage of it and they love it.
  12. Does your facility have a bridal room and groom room to allow the wedding parties to prepare themselves?
    The bridal room at the vault is located off of the balcony upstairs and has an outside entrance to sneak the bride up to the room. The room also has access to side hallways that allow her the ability to get all over the building without being seen. This gives a great deal of flexibility to the bride for the kind of grand entrance she would like to make for her big reveal. She does have a private bathroom and couches and chairs.There is also a groomsman room.
  13. Can I move things around and decorate to suit my purposes or does everything need to remain as is?
    Guests can bring in draping and lighting and candles and what ever else they want. In most cases command strips are used to anchor items to the walls.
  14. Do you have decoration guidelines that must be followed?
    The one rule The Vault has is no confetti.
  15. Do you have restrictions on what kind of music I can play or a time in which the music must end?
    They have bands and DJ's and their are really no restrictions on which one the guests choose. Most DJ's and Bands have been in the space before because they have been around for ten years so they know who to set up their sound to optimize the space.
  16. Does your venue provide on-site parking?
    There is plenty of downtown parking in the area. The Vault is directly across the street from the Residents Inn so many guest stay and park there. The rest of the people they recommend a parking attendant who costs $30 and he stands in the area and looks for people to help direct them. He will suggest a parking area for them and help riders out of the car while the driver parks. In some case if the bridal party decides to prepay parking he will hand out parking vouchers and direct them to that location. There are many hotels that offer discounts to nearby hotels such as Residents Inn, Renaissance Hotel, Double Tree, Holiday Inn and more.
  17. Is the site handicap accessible?
    The facility is handicap accessible and they have a ramp in the rear of the building for this.
  18. Does your venue have liability insurance in the event that someone is injured during the event?
    The Vault does have all the necessary insurance in place.
  19. Do you have signage or other aids to direct guests to my event?
    They do have signage that they provide to help the guests locate the facility.
  20. Do you have a recycling policy?
    They do their best to recycle.
